HSBC Savings Rates

The current base rate

The current Bank of England base rate changed to 5.00% on 01 August 2024.

The base rate is the interest rate the Bank of England charges on the money it lends to financial institutions like HSBC.

What a base rate change means for your savings

Our savings accounts aren't directly linked to the Bank of England base rate. This means you won't see an immediate change to the rate of interest on your savings or investments.

We continually review our savings product range and take a number of factors into consideration, including market conditions and the Bank of England base rate. If there are any changes to savings product interest rates, we'll let you know as soon as possible.
