How to apply for a mortgage

Follow these steps to keep your application on track.

1. Prepare your details

You'll need details of your income, employment and outgoings.

2. Get a Decision in Principle

This confirms your eligibility and gives you an idea of how much you can borrow.

3. Find a property

Once you've found a property you love, having a Decision in Principle will help you make an offer.

4. Apply for a mortgage

Make an appointment to speak to a mortgage advisor in one of our branches and we'll discuss what you're looking for in a mortgage.
